I’ve been experimenting with a hypothesis: Is possible to determine the level of risk tolerance for a department and then match the innovation portfolio to that risk tolerance? Looking at your portfolio as a whole and concentrating on the overall returns on your portfolio over time will give you a better outcome than a haphazard approach to individual projects.
